The Nordwaldkammweg trail no. 105 with its distinctive blue ridge markings is one of the 10 long-distance hiking trails in Austria and a section of the European long-distance hiking trail E6.
This mystical hiking trail on the Central European watershed is around 158 km (previously 144 km) long and stretches from the Böhmerwald/Hochstein (1.333m) through the northern Mühlviertel, often close to the Czech border, via the Hochficht (1,338m), Sternstein (1,122m), Hirtstein (844m), Braunberg (912m), Nebelstein (1,017m) and Mandelstein (874m) to the border crossing at Pyhrabruck (543m) near Gmünd/NÖ.
